Why a data management plan?
In the Data Management Plan, Fluvius, as a neutral data manager for the energy market, must indicate which investments in data systems are required in the next ten years. After all, Europe is talking about a ‘twin transition’: the transition to a sustainable society – including through the energy transition - cannot happen without a strong digital transition. Services based on energy data help customer saving, making efficient use of renewable energy in society easier and helping to manage the energy system efficiently.
Specifically, Fluvius sees major changes and other expectations in the energy market in the coming years. Both the grid operators, producers, traditional suppliers, governments and developers of new energy services and the active customers ask for new possibilities to get started with energy data from the digital meter. In the short term, the amount of data will increase enormously as a result. Data will also have to be available more quickly and easily. And the energy market of the future will have to remain stable and robust, even with the many additional data interactions.
