In order to estimate investment needs as accurately as possible, Fluvius closely monitors the evolution of the actual grid load. Digitalisation, and linked to it automation, plays a crucial role in this. Today, almost all transformer stations and switching stations already have telemonitoring and remote management. This means that the 'backbone of the distribution network' is already highly digitally equipped. But digitalisation is also continuing in the underlying grid areas (medium voltage and low voltage). The focus is on digital distribution and customer booths and the rollout of the digital meter.
